Midori

(For the Japanese jazz-punk fusion band formed in Osaka, see ミドリ.) There is more than one artist under this name: 1. Midori Goto (五嶋みどり, Gotou Midori, born on October 25, 1971 in Osaka, Japan) is a Japanese violinist.
She is known in music circles as one of the most brilliant and exciting violinists of our time.
Usually referred to simply as Midori (she dropped the surname in response to the dissolution of her parents' marriage), she was first taught the violin by her mother, Setsu Goto, who discovered her daughter's innate musicality at the age of two...

Peter Moore

There are at least two artists with this name: an Irish blues musician and an American rock musician. 1. Peter Moore is an Irish blues legend. He has fronted the International Blues Band, The Raindogs and The Wandering Harrys. The International Blues Band played mainly original music, with a Dublin blues twist. The Raindogs, a side project, covered their favourite albums, including Van Morrison's classic Astral Weeks, stretching an eight track album of 35 mins to a two and a half hour show.

Marc Ribot is an avant-garde jazz guitarist and, to a lesser extent, singer, with a highly unique and recognizable style drawing on a number of influences including funk, Cuban music, soul and no wave. He has recorded and/or appeared live with such artists as Tom Waits, Keith Richards, Lou Reed, Elvis Costello, John Zorn, Electric Masada, The Lounge Lizards, Arto Lindsay and Medeski, Martin and Wood, as well as leading a number of his own bands such as Shrek, Los Cubanos Postizos and, currently, Marc Ribot's Ceramic Dog.

Marcella Puppini

Marcella Puppini is Italian, and also speaks English and French. She created The Puppini Sisters together with Kate Mullins, Stephanie O'Brien and a versatile band in 2004. The three women met while studying music at Trinity College London, and have created a unique blend of a capella with superbly blended harmonies, jazz and swing. Their two albums to date ('Betcha Bottom Dollar' and 'The Rise and Fall of Ruby Woo') have met with acclaim from fans and critics alike.
