James Sant

James is an unsigned songwriter from Harrogate, UK. An active musician for 15 years, he started his career behind the keyboards in a high school band, wearing an ill-advised baseball cap and a smug self-satisfied grin. But the years were not kind, and the grin has gradually been replaced by a look of world-weary resignation and a furrowed brow, some of the outwardly visible results of a decade spent fighting to reconcile the internal cynic with the fatalist romantic, and failing spectacularly to do so. The war rages on.

Not too long ago five guys were drawn together by a mutual love of the music and myths of the canyon, the cotton fields and the dustbowl, the jangle of the west coast, the buzz of the village and what some folks call Americana. With that in mind they wrote some songs mixing together the sounds and tones they love so much. Like the hum of a warmed up Fender tube amp, a Telecaster ready to twang, the click and sway of a quality compressor and tremolo pedal, the strum of a Guild dreadnought, a Hohner harp ready to roll...
