Optiv

Edd Holmes, better known in the Drum & Bass scene as Optiv, first started his music career in the early 90s working at Dance 2, his local record shop in Guildford. At about the same time he was learning his production skills at SAE in London and also found time to hold a weekend job of assistant engineer at Ministry of Sound nightclub. Having completed his studies, he became a main player for the Drum & Bass outfit Pressure Rise.

Calyx

Calyx is a UK based drum and bass act, specialising in the techstep, neurofunk styles. Previously this project had two members, Larry Cons and Chris Rush (both of Oxford), but nowadays it is a solo project of Larry Cons.

Rawtekk

Stefan Krause aka Rawtekk grew up in Hamburg/Germany. In 1988 he started making music and felt in love with producing electronical music. Having his roots in the early nineties´ Techno-Movement, he made his way through many electronic genres. In 2001 Rawtekk was founded to release drum and bass and breaks. His unique sound is different; clean, complex and straight forward. After comming up with the first tracks his fame quickly grew and he started playing live in different local clubs to show off his powerfull skills.

An architect of sound first visualizes then realises, making something out of nothing, making sure that not only the object itself shines but also the space around it. The sound is moulding, shaping and morphing at the hands of Dj Ink... Tribal/ Bboy/ Mechanical/Organic/Abstract/Groove Ink built architecture recordings as an outlet for his musical output-solely to get good music on the shelves, fast fwd to today and the label is held in massive regard by peers, new producers and veterans alike, but in order to really get the essence we need to go back, way back

Hydro

There are multiple artists or groups who have recorded using this name, including (in roughly chronological order): 1. A Canadian disco group (1979) whose members include Bill Hill, Don Graham, Fitz Walton, Joe La Greca, John Farley, Peter Dowse, Terry Martel. 2. Robbie Bronnimann, of dBA/65 dBA, created “Hydro” as a side project in the 1990s, with his wife Shaz Sparks, Ray Goudie, and Andy Hunter among the contributors. The albums "Spiritualisation" (1995) and "Aborigination" (1997) are now out of print.

Teddy Killerz

Meet Oleg and Anton, the Russian/Ukrainian duo formerly known as Place 2b and Paimon, now more popularly known as Teddy Killerz. Skrillex himself was so impressed by the duo’s Make It Bun Dem Remix Contest entry that he not only proclaimed them honorary winners, but he also decided to sign them to his groundbreaking label, OWSLA. The label is famous for their intriguing and varied selection of artists, and they don’t take new artists lightly.

Dean Rodell

True veteran Dean Rodell has been involved in underground music since the early 90s and has been the man behind dozens of innovative, genre-fusing records and remixes on many of the worlds leading Techno labels. More recently Dean´s innovative approach to music has led him to branch out into the worlds of Drum&Bass and Dubstep and in 2004 he created Subdivision to house a family of labels and artists involved in all the scenes he loves in the pursuit of musical innovation.

Brooklyn

Several artist appear under the name Brooklyn: 1) A short-lived rock band featuring Bad Brains member Daryl Jenifer and Adam Yauh from Beastie Boys who recorded a 15-song demo in late 1987. 2) A rapper from the Czech Republic 3) Co-founder of Heatbag records, Brooklyn is a member of Winnipeg's Most in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada who has two solo albums; Mind of a Heatbag (2009) and Only the Strong Survive (2011).
