Savage Sound System

Long Way Home

Long Way Home were an energetic rock band from Ayrshire, Scotland. Formed in early 2009 they have gone from strength to strength attracting rave reviews and building up a large, dedicated following.
In May of that year they won The Burns Showcase for New Bands Competition, Ayrplay, in front of over 500 music lovers at the Burns Festival Club in Ayr. In September 2009 they made history by becoming the first unsigned band to be asked to play 2 consecutive nights at the legendary 100 Club after a blistering performance on their first night.

Araya

Hailing from Edinburgh, Araya is the solo work of the Inverness born electronica producer Keir MacCulloch. Signed to famed Scottish alternative music label Benbecula Records, Araya has been a "notable force" in the Scottish electronic music scene. His sell out album "The Bridge Of Hesitation" was an underground hit, taking Araya's live show all over the country and abroad. His follow up release "Whilst We Try EP" is due out on 26th October.

Zachariah Toadstool

Rural punk band formed in south west Scotland in 1980, Zachariah Toadstool & the Magic Mushrooms scored local success briefly with a mostly original set, with covers of the Ramones and the Bay City Rollers thrown in (because they only had three chords, the band explained). Comprising the Sinclair brothers, Pete (on drums) and Paul (on vocals), Scott Maxwell on bass, the improbably named Owen Figgis on lead guitar and Harald Thomson on rhythm...

The Quatermass Xperiment

The Quatermass Xperiment are a three piece band, fusing elements of Dance, Drum 'n' Bass, Noise-rock and Experimental music, in a highly improvisational way. The band formed Originally In February 2008, consisting of Mark Roberts (Keys, found sounds, Samples, Noise) and Adam Pollard (Percussion, Samples, Keys), before being Joined By Dave Wilbraham (Drums), who completed the line-up in August 2008.

Eugene Kelly

Eugene Kelly was born on 1965 and is a Scottish musician who was a member of the band The Vaselines and also BMX Bandits and has had a number of solo releases. Eugene Kelly formed The Vaselines in 1986 with Frances McKee and was a member until 1990 when the band split up. Kurt Cobain of Nirvana was a fan of the band and two covers of songs by The Vaselines were included on their Incesticide album.
