Seaweed

Hailing from Tacoma, Washington, Seaweed was one of those 1990s bands that combined elements of driving punk and rock sound with emotional vocals and catchy melodies. They were signed to Hollywood at one time, and have released five full-length albums and multiple singles over the span of their career. Seaweed's musical agenda was close to the 90s post hardcore scene, with contemporaries such as. Samiam, Jawbreaker, and tourmates Superchunk and Quicksand. They were well-known for their cover of Fleetwood Mac's 'Go Your Own Way' which appeared in the movie Clerks.

Pedro the Lion was an indie rock band from Seattle, Washington, comprising David Bazan and TW Walsh. Because of the biblical references in many of their songs, Pedro the Lion were seen by some to be a Christian band, but they did not consider the band to be such. Ken Stringfellow

Ken Stringfellow is most widely known as Jon Auer's partner in the Seattle-based "power pop" group, The Posies, but is also a well-respected artist and producer in his own right. Ken's solo career began with the 1997 release, This Sounds Like Goodbye and the low-fi, experimental feel of this album was a departure from the richness of The Posies sound. His second solo release, Touched, had the misfortune of a September 11, 2001 street date and as a result, did not receive the attention it deserved.

There are two (or more) musical projects called Broken Strings: 1. Broken Strings from Olympia, WA is the brainchild of Adam Croce, formerly of Tommy Lasorda/Los Rabbis, who recorded the entire Broken Strings LP as a form of rock'n'roll therapy after a period of hospitalization.
