Slint

Slint was a math rock band consisting of Brian McMahan (guitar and vocals), David Pajo (guitar), Britt Walford (drums), Todd Brashear (bass on Spiderland) and Ethan Buckler (bass on Tweez). They formed in Louisville, Kentucky, United States in 1986. Though they disbanded circa 1991, they are considered to be a major influence on the , , and scenes. Slint's first album Tweez was recorded by legendary engineer Steve Albini in 1987 and released in obscurity on the Jennifer Hartman Records label in 1989.

Vinnie Moore plays melodic instrumental rock. He began to play the guitar at the age of 12 and joined his first band 3 years later. Since 2003, he has played guitar for the British hard rock band UFO. Along with Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony MacAlpine, and others, Moore is often cited as one of the greatest shred guitar artists of all time. Vinnie is endorsed by Ernie Ball MusicMan guitars, and constantly supports them by doing clinic tours, also, he recently got a new amp sponsorship. Sleepmakeswaves are an instrumental rock band from Sydney, Australia. Drawing influences mainly from but not limited to post-rock, the young quartet mix driving metallic bombast with textured electronics to create a sonic space where delicate melodies and thunderous climaxes peacefully co-exist. Since their formation in late 2006, sleepmakeswaves have rapidly established themselves as a promising and unique voice in their field.

Kitty the Lion began life as the singer-songwriter Anna Meldrum, reared at the seaside on a diet of folk and pop. In this cub stage, Anna toured the open mics and small venues of Glasgow with her acoustic guitar, and sensible shoes because Glasgow is a wet city and cats hate water. In the next few months and years, Anna was lucky enough to play lots of exciting gigs, including an appearance at Hydro Connect Festival, and a string of support slots with Duke Special.

Jakob is a New Zealand band, based in Napier, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. The band consists of guitarist Jeff Boyle; bassist Maurice Beckett; and drummer Jason Johnston. They have been compared to such bands as Mogwai, Sonic Youth, and High Dependency Unit, though they largely eschew any vocals or samples in their songs. The band formed in July 1998, and began by opening for New Zealand bands Salmonella Dub and Pitch Black at the local pub O'Flaherty's.

Hazards Of Swimming Naked are an instrumental group originating from Far North Queensland (Innisfail/Johnstone Shire). Expo '70

EXPO '70 was formed in Los Angeles by Justin Wright as a side-project, while he was playing guitar in Living Science Foundation (Second Nature Recordings; GSL50 Compilation). Initially, the group also included Wright's friend, PK . The pair improvised creating sounds bouncing effect-ridden instruments creating a wide range of textures and moods. EXPO '70's first recording and inception was during PK's project SXBRS recording session, resulting in one of many split releases on PKs' label.
