Jackson And His Computer Band

Jackson & His Computer Band is the musical alias of Jackson Fourgeaud, the acclaimed French producer and DJ. A Parisian to the core, Jackson currently resides in Berlin where he is working on his second album and preparing an eye-opening live show. Like his adventurous music, Jackson is a bundle of energy and ideas whose thirst for provocation and stimulation has led to him being hailed as one of the wildest talents of his generation.

Jackson and His Computer Band is an IDM artist signed to Warp Records consisting of Jackson Fourgeaud, a 26-year-old Parisian composer. His style has been described as "a style orgy, a psychedelic celebration of conflict."
After his acid house debut on Pumpking records in 1996, Sound Of Barclay released the "Sense Juice" and "Gourmet EPs" under the name Jackson & His Computer Band.

LFO

There are 2 bands under the name LFO. 1) English band LFO were one of the pioneers of the harsh techno of the early 1990s. Originally comprising Gez Varley (also known as Jez Varley) and Mark Bell, they met while studying at Leeds and gave their first track, the eponymous “LFO”, to Nightmares On Wax. The demo’s popularity in clubs lead to the track being released by Warp in 1990, where it made it into the Top Twenty. The name “LFO” comes from the term low frequency oscillator, a component used to alter sounds in synthesizers, samplers etc.

Chris Clark

This page represents two artists: 1) Chris Clark, the contemporary electronic artist, and 2) Chris Clark, the '60s Motown diva. 1) an English electronic/idm artist signed to Warp Records. With the 2006 release of Throttle Furniture, he changed his artist name to Clark. 2) a white, female motown soul diva still beloved to Motown and northern soul fans. Among several singles her biggest and best-remembered was "Love's Gone Bad" written by the powerhouse hit-maker trio Holland/Dozier/Holland; it peaked on Billboard's R&B charts in 1966.

Robert Hood

Robert Hood makes minimal Detroit techno with an emphasis on soul and experimentation over flash and popularity. Having recorded for Metroplex, as well as the Austrian Cheap label and Jeff Mills' Axis label, Hood also owns and operates the M-Plant imprint (including the two sub-labels Drama and Duet) through which he has released the bulk of his solo material.

London resident Nick Budd has been quietly carving a name for himself with a series of handmade mixes that feature MPC sampler edits alongside more traditional turntablism. In 2003, whilst working at Banquet Records, he formed a formidable partnership with Dylan Richards aka ZILLA. The result was A Friendly Game of Chess - a cut and paste masterpiece that successfully blended a barrage of musical styles and spoken word samples into something truly original.

B12

B12 is a British electronic music duo consisting of Mike Golding and Steve Rutter. Golding and Rutter, who shy away from the press and rarely give interviews, have also released material under the monikers Musicology, Redcell and Cmetric, and distribute their material on their own B12 record label. Their sound is usually categorized as techno or intelligent dance music (IDM). Their first full-length album, Electro-Soma, is a collection of early work (some tracks originally released under the Musicology and Cmetric names) which was released by Warp Records in 1993.
