French producer and musician Etienne Jaumet started out in the '90s with folk rockers The Married Monk, before going into the studio as an engineer and working on his own projects. One of these is the Krautrock-infused electro-disco outfit Zombie Zombie with Neman Herman Düne (of Herman Düne). Jaumet's debut album, Night Music was released in October 2009 by Domino Recording Co. in the US. Inspired by the work of avant-minimalist Steve Reich, the record was produced by Carl Craig.
The Vegetable Orchestra (called Das erste Wiener gemüseorchester on the first album) was founded in 1998. It consists of 11 musicians, a sound engineer and a video artist. Based in Vienna, the Vegetable Orchestra plays concerts in Europe and Asia. From time to time workshops are given - on how to manufacture an instrument or on musical topics. There are no musical boundaries for the Vegetable Orchestra.
In the early 90ties Marco discovered his affinity to electronic music. First tapes and the radio, later nightlife infected him. He soon invested his pocket money in two turntables and a mixer and acquired the first skills as a DJ. The first experience with a synthesiser and a drum computer were made at the basement studio of a school friend where the two tinkered on the first beats.
In 1995 Marco got the chance to perform in public with his own records at the Youth Club All1 in Berlin.
Format: B are Franziskus and Jakob. Jakob is a Berliner, from Kreuzberg to be exact. As all good parents do, his wanted him to play an instrument. After years of successfully dodging music lessons and his parents wishes, he finally at the subtle age of 15 decided that he desperately needed a bass guitar, which then through diligent practice manoeuvred him from hardcore bands to funk and jazz bands. But suddenly, there was a small problem: he liked Techno parties much better than rock concerts.
