april gunn are a small band from manchester england. each member has different influences and styles, which they manage to combine into a strange new sound. each song sounds different from the last but similar in some way. if you have ever seen a gig and try to descirbe who they sound like you will probably mention no less than 5 different bands. if you havnt seen them live then you need to !!!

Dan Michaelson is lead singer of the critically acclaimed and suprisingly popular band Absentee. In September 2007 whilst waiting to record the next Absentee album (now being recorded in their East London home from home, The Premises) he decided to start work on a solo album. After several embarassing phone calls and the odd spelling mistake, renowned Icelandic producer Valgier Sigurdsson (Björk, Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Sigur Ròs) came over to stay in London and produce the tracks Michaelson had written.

Damien’s musical career has earned him credit as a creative and exciting musician and singer. His banjo playing has given him a reputation as one of the finest Irish players on the scene today, he is also a noted singer focusing on songs from his native Northern Ireland. Currently touring with Kate Rusby he his probably better known for his work with Shona Kipling and Flook. He is fast becoming recognised as one of the finest singers on the British acoustic music scene.
