Sharon Corr

Sharon Helga Corr, MBE (born March 24, 1970 in Dundalk, Ireland) is a musician and member of the Irish pop-rock band The Corrs. She plays the violin and sings backing vocals. At 5'5", Sharon is the tallest of the three sisters, and the second tallest of the four siblings, after her elder brother Jim. The Corr siblings were awarded honorary MBEs in 2005 by Queen Elizabeth II, in recognition of their musical talents and also their charitable work which has raised money for Freeman Hospital in Newcastle, victims of the Omagh Bombing and other charities.

Raven Beats Crow

Raven beats Crow was spawned from the minds of four London-based musicians in late 2007. They draw influence from American garage rock/psychedelic bands such as Pavement, The Flaming Lips, TV on the Radio and Grandaddy, whilst obvious comparisons with The Beta Band and Super Furry Animals are often cited. With their moniker lifted from a game of ‘Bird Top Trumps’, RbC are as undefinable as their name suggests.

Started about eight years ago as an acoustic based side-project between two friends who wished for a more minimalist distraction from their main musical endeavours, subzar (an approximate acronym of "somewhere between the zenith and ruin") has recently evolved into a quartet that has taken on a life of its own. From the formulaic post-rock equation, drums have been banished while violin and cello warmly welcome - elevating the humble foundation to an - at times - pseudo-classical proposition that strives to encourage the listener to join its visceral and affecting musical journey.

Tasmin Little

Tasmin Little (born 13 May 1965) is an English violinist.
As a concerto player, Tasmin’s performances in the 2006/07 season took her on a major tour to South East Asia and Australia playing Elgar’s violin concerto celebrating the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth as well as playing other repertoire in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Singapore, Ireland and throughout England. She now play/directs orchestras such as Norwegian Chamber, London Mozart Players, Royal Philharmonic, European Union Chamber Orchestra and Britten Sinfonia.
