R.A. the Rugged Man, real name R.A. Thorburn, is a rapper from Stony Brook, Long Island. He began his music career at age 12. At 18, he signed to Jive Records. R.A.'s legend, perpetuated by the P.R. biographies at his various labels, say he was dropped due to violent and disgusting behavior, but in interviews he disputes many of the more extreme stories told about him, adding that Jive just didn't know how to break new artists at the time.

Emmet Scanlan

Emmet Scanlan & What the Good Thought are an Independent music act whose music veers away from the usual yet is embraced by the majority of those who hear it. Emmet formed the group 'Emmet Scanlan & What the Good Thought' in the Summer of 2004. With a head full of song ideas upon returning from a bit globe trekking, Emmet decided to set up camp in Galway and gather a band to showcase some of these ideas. Galway was the most natural choice for him is he had spent the 4 years previous studying science in the University. Of course, music was the next obvious step!

Printed Circuit

Printed Circuit is a pseudonym of Claire Broadley, a musician from Leeds, UK. She began making music as a solo artist in June 1999, aged 19. During the next five years, she released records on labels like Tigerbeat6, Elefant, 555 and her own label, Catmobile. Her influences are continually taken from diverse sources, most obviously from the Acorn Electron computer games of her youth, but the only real constant is her own ability to tessellate simple melodies into far more complex compositions. A forthcoming album can be pre-ordered at PledgeMusic.com.
