Izrael

Izrael is one of the most popular and influential Polish reggae bands. It was formed in March 1983 by two well-known musicians of Polish underground: Robert Brylewski (formerly of Brygada Kryzys) and Pawel Kelner (formerly of Deuter).
Brylewski said in regards to this formation: "Izrael’s creation was a consequence of the death of Brygada Kryzys. During last rehearsals of Brygada Kryzys only three musicians were present: Kelner, me and Tomasz Lipinski. There was nobody else. It was the end of 1982, hard times for Polish independent rockers.

THE GLADIATORS

The Gladiators were a Jamaican reggae band formed in 1967 in Kingston by four friends from the same neighborhood: Albert Griffiths, Clinton Fearon, Errol Grandison, and David Webber. In 1968, Griffiths and Webber joined forces with Errol Grandison, to form the Gladiators. The band soon topped the Jamaican charts with "Hello Carol" in late 1968. However not long after their first chart success David Webber started to show signs of serious mental illness. The decline in Webber's mental health meant that he was eventually replaced in the band by Clinton Fearon.

Michael Rose

Born in the Western Kingston ghetto of Waterhouse, Jamaica on July 11, 1957 Michael Rose was introduced to music by his brothers, who used to sing around the house. Blessed with a powerful voice he joined a band, doing local talent shows as well as entertaining tourists in the north coast hotels of Jamaica. Returning to Kingston in 1975, Niney the Observer first spotted the potential of Michael Rose and produced first recordings like "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" and "Clap The Barber" to name a few.

Julian Marley

For Julian Marley, music is life, life is music and both are blessings from above. "From a small age music has been there in my life. It's just natural. And it is with the inspiration of the Most High that I create my songs," the artist, a son of Bob Marley, explains. Born on June 4th, 1975 in London, England, Julian's development as a singer/songwriter began when, at age five, he cut his first demo tape, recording a version of his father's classic composition, "Slave Driver," at the Marley family's Tuff Gong studio in Kingston.

Empress Ayeola (it's Yoruba meaning "joy and wealthy life") presents herself to the record buying reggae massive with "Isat Innat" (Ethiopian Amharic for "Fire Mamma"), her debut album released by Gaddamaweh Productions. Empress Ayeola (real name Jannette Reid) was born in England and at the tender age of two she migrated to Jamaica where she grew up. She started developing her talents as a teenager when she attended music classes with Sonia Spence, the latter known from tracks like "I Am Leaving On A Jet Plane" and "No Charge".

Lee "Scratch" Perry

Lee "Scratch" Perry (born Rainford Hugh Perry, on March 20, 1936, in Kendal, Jamaica) is one of the most influential people in the development of reggae and dub music in Jamaica. Perry began his career in the late 1950s working with Clement Coxsone Dodd's sound system. He eventually performed a variety of important tasks at Studio One as well as recording about 30 songs, but the pair eventually stopped working together due to personality and financial conflicts.

Stephen Marley

Stephen Robert Nesta Marley, (born April 20, 1972 in Wilmington, Delaware; raised primarily in Kingston, Jamaica) is a reggae artist and a son of Bob Marley and reggae singer Rita Marley. Stephen is a five-time Grammy award winner as artist, producer and recording engineer. As child and teenager, he was a member of Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers. His debut album Mind Control was released 20 March 2007.
