the spindle sect

The Spindle Sect is a Sci-Fi Indusro-Hop project
that was founded in 2003 by the brothers Darren and Garreth Carikas in Cape Town, South Africa. With their fusion of hip-hop, progressive rock, electronica and a Sci-Fi concept, The Spindle Sect has earned a substantial underground following over the years. After some personal shifts, the five-piece lineup has settled around: Bassist producer and all round driving force The SciFientist, vocalist Cavin Chambers, vocalist Snake Pliskin, drummer Holocaust Andy and guitarist Aya.

MF DOOM

Daniel Dumile ("doom-uh-lay") is a British born American hip-hop artist who has taken on several stage names in his career, most famously MF DOOM (standing for metal fingers/metal face doom). He has also been known as Zev Love X, King Geedorah, Metal Fingers, Viktor Vaughn, DOOM, and has appeared in several collaborative projects such as DANGERDOOM and Madvillain (a collaboration with Madlib. Little is known about his personal life though he did reveal in a 2006 interview on his MySpace page that he is married with two children, one of them teenage.

Diamond D

Veteran hip-hop producer Diamond D has helped out with several of rap music's most acclaimed LPs, including A Tribe Called Quest's The Low End Theory and the Fugees' The Score. In 1992, he recorded his first solo album, the underground classic Stunts, Blunts & Hip-Hop (which was released as by Diamond & the Psychotic Neurotics). Although it never sold very many copies, it increased his status, and he worked with Illegal, House of Pain, KRS-One, and the Pharcyde during the mid-'90s.

Kadyelle

Kadyelle has been just finished her first solo release, 'Earthworthy' she does shows every now and then in Perth, Busselton & Melbourne. Kadyelle supported Muph & Plutonic, Phatchance & Coptic Soldier, Seth Sentry, Bleeding Hearts, Dome sunset and others.
Kadyelle was a nominee/finalist in OzHipHop Awards 2009 in the category, "Best Female MC 2009", and her clip for 'Anybody Like Me' recently featured in the Ladie Killerz Film Festival in Adelaide.

Jedi Mind Tricks

Jedi Mind Tricks (JMT) is a hip hop group with two members from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and one from Camden, New Jersey. The group was founded by two high school friends rapper Vinnie Paz (Vincenzo Luvineri) and producer / DJ Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind (Kevin Baldwin). In 1999 the New Jersey rapper Jus Allah (James Bostick) joined the group to record the 2nd studio album by JMT, Violent by Design but left shortly after for reasons that remain unexplained.

Engel

Engel is an industrial/melodic death metal band. They hail from Gothenburg, Sweden and in addition, their bassplayer origins from England. Engel is also a Dutch rapper, who released his debut album "Engelland"in 2008. Fans of the band?
Formed at Göteborg, Sweden back in 2004, Niclas Engelin and Marcus Sunesson felt that they should bring something new to the genre. Lineup as of September 2010:

Hailing from the Northwest, Beefy is a massive presence in the nerdcore hip-hop scene. Since 2005, Beefy has been pushing his positive, pop culture influenced message worldwide, beginning with his debut The Whitesican EP. Never afraid to make references to X-Men comic books or video game vixens, Beefy has also found a way to create his own style backed by pop, rock, and hard powered rap production.
