They were formed in the summer of 2006 and since then, they have played hundreds of live shows, including openings for Brant Bjork, Colour Haze, Karma to Burn, My Sleeping Karma, Radio Moscow and many others. Their commitment to vintage equipment, thick and heavy analog sound and their remarkably passionate on stage performance is what sets them apart.
Born and bred in Dallas, Texas, the members of Slowride compose an infectious punk sound similar to the likes of Jawbreaker and Pennywise. They're also rockers with a sweet side, deriving catchy fun melodies. Based in Leeds, Hayashi have gained a reputation for playing high energy dance sets influenced by drum and bass, breakbeat and trip-hop styles. Drummer/producer Gideon Woods and Bassist/producer Ben Coleman started Hayashi as a studio project in 2003 and since then this partnership has developed to include other Leeds based musicians: Darren Ibbetson (Keys, Samples, Guitar) Ana Robinson, D. Sojourn and Mwen (vocals).
