Sigur Rós (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈsɪːɣʏr ˈroːus] ( listen)) is an Icelandic post-rock band with melodic, classical, and minimalist elements. The band is known for its ethereal sound, and frontman Jónsi Birgisson's falsetto vocals and use of bowed guitar.

Hildur Ingveldardóttir Guðnadóttir (b. 1982) is a cellist and composer. Best known for her collaborations with múm and guest appearances with Pan Sonic, she has a rich catalogue of collaborations and varied projects behind her. Guðnadóttir began playing cello as a child, entered the Reykjavík Music Academy and then moved on to musical studies/composition and new media at the Iceland Academy of the Arts and Universitat der Kunste in Berlin.

Formed in March 2012 band is still young that can’t be said about its members who have been musicians and friends through numerous different bands for long time before joining their forces and inspiration under the name of Crow Mother. Shortly after forming in 2012 band kicked off with recording their first two singles called Killing the Love and Sugar, Blood & Wine. First two records were more like experiment for band to find its own sound that became more individual in their next two singles – Winterland and Smile Like You Care.
Bloodgroup was formed in 2006 by Halez, Lilja, Raggi and Janus during some boring winter days on the east coast of Iceland. After a few months of writing noticiable and catchy electronic dance pop, the group played at Iceland Airwaves festival. They recieved praise for a great live show, along with their terrific melodies and beats that seemed to get even the harshest metalheads to do the dance. The group makes music with a great number of instruments - synth, piano, electric and baroque guitar, celtic harp, harmonium, melodica, celesta, glockenspiel, gideon harp, call bells (also called "office" or "reception" bells), glass harp, kalimba, mandolin, and musical saw played with a bow.
Pascal Pinon are the twins Jófríður and Ásthildur, two girls from Reykjavík, Iceland. When they were only fourteen they got together with two of their friends and decided to start a band. Using the instruments they had, Pascal Pinon worked in the twins' bedroom. At the same place they played their first gig: calling it 'The Friendly Concert'. Only a few months later Pascal Pinon had already played various local venues and started to record their first album.
