Alessio Ballerini

Alessio Ballerini, sound designer and electroacoustic musician, uses a computer and other devices to create experimental, electroacoustic, minimalist and multi-stratified sounds.
He explores real and imaginary landscapes by using field recordings, guitar, piano and digital composition, so that the sound finds its beauty in the harmonic ambient substrate.
He has been a member of the cinematographic group Postodellefragole since 2004. In 2009, together with Pietro Baldoni, he created Abellira, a production studio for soundtracks, sound locations and sound design for multimedia products.

Michael Snow

Michael Snow is a Canadian artist working in painting, sculpture, video, films, photography, holography, drawing, books and music. He is considered one of the most influential experimental filmmakers. Originally a professional jazz musician, Snow has a long-standing interest in improvised music, as indicated by the soundtrack to his film "New York Eye and Ear Control". As a pianist, he has performed solo and with other musicians in North America, Europe and Japan.

Manfred Werder was born in 1965 and lives in Zürich. He is a member of the Wandelweiser Group. "Stück 1998 seiten 1-4000 consists of 160'000 time units. One time unit consists of 6 seconds of sound, followed by 6 seconds of silence. The sound is indicated by a pitch from a six octave range. Pitches which can't be played by instruments are to read in time nevertheless. The score is performed - in sections - in one succession. Total duration is 533 hours 20 minutes.

Antoine Beuger

Antoine Beuger (b. 1955 in Oosterhout, Netherlands) studied composition with Ton de Leeuw at Sweelinck Coservatorium in Amsterdam 1973-78.
In 1990 he began composing after an interruption of about 10 years. Two years later he founded Edition Wandelweiser together with composer/performer Burkhard Schlothauer.
Since 1994 he's been active with the conception and organisation of KLANGRAUM, a concert series at Kunstraum Düsseldorf. During the years 1995-2001 he was working together with visual artist Mauser as artistic director of "Werkraum", Place for Interdisciplinary Artistic Events, Cologne.

Aram Ilyich Khachaturian, (Russian: Аpaм Ильич Xaчaтypян or Aram Il'ič Hačaturjan) (1903 - 1978) was a Russian composer of Armenian origin. He was born in Tbilisi, Georgia (then a part of pre-Soviet Imperial Russia) to a poor Armenian family. In his youth, he was fascinated by the music he heard around him, but at first he did not study music or learn to read it.
In 1921, he traveled to Moscow to join his brother, unable to speak a word of Russian.

Ryan Teague

Ryan Teague is a composer/producer working in the field of electro-acoustic composition. His music is an exploration of the possibilities between more traditional instrumentation, techniques and arrangements, combined with electronic treatments, sampling and manipulations. His distinct musical style first came to light through his debut release Six Preludes on Type Records. The ideas developed in these initial experiments naturally evolved into his second release for Type Records Coins and Crosses which featured a 24 piece String Orchestra, confirming Teague’s ambitious musical style.
