W.A.S.P.

W.A.S.P. is an American heavy metal band formed in 1982 which gained notoriety for its"shock rock"-image, music and live performances. The band, formed in Los Angeles, California, initially consisted of Blackie Lawless, Rik Fox, Randy Piper and Tony Richards. The band initially became famous for its raunchy and at times shocking live shows; Lawless was known to tie semi-naked models to a torture rack and hurl raw meat into the audience. The band's debut single, entitled Animal (Fuck Like a Beast), was equally controversial.

Zodiac Mindwarp and The Love Reaction

Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction are a British hard rock group. The band is the brainchild of Mark Manning, a graphic artist and editor of London’s Flexipop magazine. Other band members, who came and went over the years, include Kid Chaos, Slam Thunderhide, Evil bastard, Trash D Garbage, Flash Bastard, Suzy X, Tex Diablo and Robbie Vom.

Electrik Dynamite

Electrik Dynamite is a Melbourne born metal band. "There once was a time where 'heavy metal' was not about how low your tuning was, how brutal your vocals were or how much double kick action the drummer could belt out. Once upon a time, heavy metal encompassed more - the passion, the conviction, belief in the god of metal... oh, and the hair! That time was the 80's. 6 souls were born from the wombs of 80's heavy metal, these 6 souls are Electrik Dynamite!

Hangfire

Southern Welsh rockers Hangfire serve up a massive slab of blues groove with monsterous power and melody. The band’s 'far reaching' influences spans the classic rock heyday of late July to the middle of August ’87! Guitarist Lee ‘Lizzy’ Evans is a blind musical virtueoso with unfathomable touch and feel that gives the band it's southern bluesy edge. An incredibly talented composer, he gives the cultured feel of 'Bonamassa' blended with the awesome 80’s riffs of 'Jake E Lee'.

There are a lot of reasons to celebrate the release of Night Ranger’s “Hole in the Sun,” notably that it marks the band’s first studio album in a decade and commemorates the pioneering hard rock outfit’s 25th anniversary as a band. But as has been the case throughout Night Ranger’s heralded career, the best reason to celebrate is the music itself.
