Thundercat is a pseudonym of Stephen Bruner, a member of legendary s Suicidal Tendencies (since 16 years of age), a protégé of Steven Ellison (aka Flying Lotus), virtuoso bassist, composer, producer and singer. Bruner has collaborated with many, including: a stint with German boy band No Curfew, jams with Snoop Dogg and Stanley Clarke. “I do believe that hip-hop can be the new jazz, and I’m helping create that”, Bruner said in an interview to Bass Player, in 2008.

Raheem DeVaughn's debut album was "The Love Experience;" his critically acclaimed follow-up was "Love Behind The Melody." DeVaughn's musical story began with his mother's vinyl collection. "I always loved music so I would sneak into her record collection when she wasn't around and play her stuff." DeVaughn's father, noted jazz musician Abdul Wadud was also an influence. DeVaughn knew at an early age that he would become an entertainer.

Groove Theory is an American R&B duo, best known for their 1995 hits "Tell Me", "Keep Tryin'" and "Baby Luv", from their self-titled debut album. The original version of the group was made up of female singer Amel Larrieux and male song-writer, actor, and producer Bryce Wilson. Larrieux left the group for a solo career in 1999 and was replaced by Mekada Davis. The new line-up also signified a dramatic change in style for the group which took a more contemporary R&B approach for their second album, The Answer.

Kindred the Family Soul, also referred to as Kindred, is an American R&B/neo soul duo comprised of Fatin Dantzler and his wife, Aja Graydon. Signed to Hidden Beach Records, Kindred emerged from the Philadelphia neo-soul movement that also includes Jill Scott, who discovered them. After two years of work on the CD, Hidden Beach issued their debut album "Surrender to Love" which included, among others, the songs "Stars" and "Far Away."
