Carleen Anderson is an American soul singer who has had success in the United Kingdom. She is the daughter of the singer Vicki Anderson and step-daughter of Bobby Byrd, and cousin of Jhelisa and was most well know as the lead singer in the Young Disciples as well as for her own solo career. Anderson was raised by her paternal grandparents in Houston, Texas during the civil rights movement in the 1960s.

Remember Shakti is the second incarnation of guitarist John McLaughlin's group which plays a fusion of indian music and jazz. The original Shakti was most active between 1975 and 1978; Remember Shakti was formed in 2000 and has played on and off since then. The core of Remember Shakti is guitarist John McLaughlin and master tabla player and percussionist Zakir Hussain, both members of the original Shakti. On the first recording from 2000, T.H. Vinayakram (also a member of the original Shakti) plays ghatam and Indian drum, and Hariprasad Chaurasia plays bansuri flute.

D'Angelo (born Michael Eugene Archer on 11 February 1974 in Richmond, Virginia, United States) is a neo-soul singer and keyboardist. He has released two albums, "Brown Sugar" (1995) and "Voodoo" (2000), with a third, "James River", due for release in 2012. D'Angelo signed a publishing deal with EMI Music in 1991 after catching the attention of record executives with a demo tape. He penned the hit song "U Will Know" on the Jason's Lyric soundtrack.
