The Black Oil Brothers

Before the blues found its way to Chicago and redefined itself with electric guitars and drummers, bluesmen were minstrels playing juke joints in the Mississippi Delta armed only with their guitars and voices while the crowd kept the rhythm by stomping their feet in time. Born and raised in Chicago, The Black Oil Brothers aim to channel that kind of boot stompin' blues that doesn’t need a backline or distortion pedals to make it cook.

Emperor X

Emperor X is a pop/noise/folk music project headed by American musician C. R. Matheny. The project often performs and records with little more than Matheny on an acoustic guitar and a dynamic microphone, but sometimes also employs large groups of musicians on percussion instruments, various electronic noisemakers, brass/woodwind/string ensembles, and traditional rock instruments. Monster Ceilidh Band

The Monster Ceilidh Band is a fresh, new Newcastle-based ceilidh band fusing the traditional with the modern. The Monsters are starting a revolution in Newcastle! Beginning as a humble ceilidh band, they used their collected knowledge of different styles and genres to form new ways of playing traditional and contemporary music. The Monsters decided to organize monthly ceilidhs in Newcastle to bring folk music to a wider audience.

Sequoia

Sequoia is (1) a band from Chicago. They released their debut album, "Monday Morning" in 2005. Their sophmore album, "Time to Change", was released in May of 2008. In 2009 they added Cully Johnston from Grinner/Powers on guitar and in 2011 released their third full-length, "Couple Two Tree." It was engineered/produced by Allen Epley (Shiner, The Life and Times) and Eric Abert (The Life and Times, Ring Cicada) and recorded at Matt Talbott's (HUM) studio, Earth Analog.

Adding Machine

Adding Machine is a Bristol based four-piece formed early in 2011 by Hazel Mills, Greg Stoddard (Scott Matthews), Andy Sutor (Anika) and TJ Allen. Early Cocteau guitar shrieks, throbbing post-punk bass and Silver Apples-inspired rhythms writhe beneath Mills’ Siouxsie-esque macabre-pop tales, bridging the gap between hauntingly danceable and abrasively mesmerizing.

Blackhole

There are at least three artists named Blackhole. 1. A hardcore band from Watford/Hemel (United Kingdom) who have been touring with bands such as Cancer Bats, Every Time I Die, The Ghost Of A Thousand, and Johnny Truant, amongst others. Signed to Raw Power management and harboring front man Richard Carter (brother of Frank and Steph Carter of the mighty Gallows). Delivering crushing riffs and powerful vocals with every track. 2. A speed/power metal band from Seoul, South Korea.

Matt Duncan

Matt Duncan is a classically trained instrumentalist and songwriter in his mid-20s. “Beacon” features smooth vocals, brilliant lyrics, and jawdropping syncopation, perfect pitch and painstaking, perfectionistic production. A Lafayette High School alum, Duncan first gained attention with the now-defunct Parlour Boys, one of Lexington’s strongest indie bands in decades. A pianist and vocalist who also plays bass, guitar and a number of other instruments, Duncan is also a member of the band Englishman, a project of Andrew English.

The Final Chapter

There are 2 bands named The Final Chapter The First was formed by members of Bestiary and Anah Aevia in 2004. Shortly after, they recorded a 5 song EP entitled, A Funeral Portrait. After numerous lineup changes they did a brief tour with For The Fallen Dreams in the summer of 2005 and after numerous delays, A Funeral Portrait was eventually released in the fall of 2005. The self-proclaimed, ill-fated band met it's untimely demise in 2006 when their drummer, Bone, left the band to join Still Remains.
