SCHIZMA is one of the longest running and most popular, also internationally, Polish Hardcore bands. The band was formed in 1990 in the city of Bydgoszcz, Poland. During the 14 years of the bands existence the band went through a lot of line-up changes, however, since the beginning until today it has been true to the non-conformist sound of hard core and to the ethics of independence.

All-female Irish-American group Cherish the Ladies was formed in 1985 in New York. They take the name "Cherish The Ladies" from a traditional Irish jig. The current members of the group are Joanie Madden (flute, whistle and harmony vocals), Mary Coogan(guitar, banjo, mandolin), Heidi Talbot (lead vocal, bodhran), Mirella Murray (accordion), Roisin Dillon (fiddle) and Kathleen Boyle (piano)

Steffen Basho-Junghans (born 1953) is a German guitarist and composer. He was born in North Thuringia in the former German Democratic Republic (aka East Germany). At the age of 17 he taught himself to play acoustic guitar and in 1978 formed the folk band Wacholder. In 1979, influenced by the American guitarist Leo Kottke, he began performing solo instrumental music on 6- and 12-string guitar. Throughout the 1980s he became influenced by artists on John Fahey's Takoma Records label.

Beth Dariti (born Elisabeth Leondariti in Athens) is a Greek/British musician, based in North London. Raised in a musical family, she soon picked up music and began playing the piano at the age of 6. Beth started taking classical guitar lessons at the age of 10; 3 years later her family moved from Greece to England where she developed her percussive guitar style.
