Fireballs

“Technicolour rock, in the age of beige” Beat magazine Fireballs are recognised by many as Australia’s first and foremost psychobilly band, a reputation credited to their early beginnings and their present longevity. From inception the idea was to capture a flavour that would recognise their original rockabilly roots and their love of playing hard ‘n’ fast. Heavily influenced by double bass driven international bands, such as The Stray Cats, Batmobile, Mad Sin and the Klingonz, Fireballs ambitiously aimed to carve out their own niche in a smaller Melbourne scene.

The Peacocks

The Peacocks are a punk/psychobilly/rockabilly band from Switzerland and the current members are: Hasu Langhard (vocals/guitar), Simon Langhard (upright bass) and Jürg Luder (drums). The first show happened in 1990. The band back then was on guitar, on drums and on double bass. It was very rockabilly orientated poppy psychobilly with lots of cover versions. After playing a few birthday parties, The Peacocks sort of broke up because Michi quit the band, but The Peacocks restarted one year later when Simon, Hasu's brother, who learned the double bass, joined the band.

Hollywood Suicide

"Hollywood Suicide, beauty and decay, fame and depression. Some pills and champagne, that was a popular choice of death among people in the show business era of the '50s. Get to the top, do it quick, being loved, being adored. Quit while your ahead, never let your fortune fade." They're a young punk & roll band from London, UK.
Always on the road, anywhere and anyhow..they smashed most of the stages around sharing great gigs with bands such as Klingonz, King Kurt, Meteors, The Grit, Peacocks, Long Tall Texans...

They recorded their first EP in February 2005 and it came out as 7" on Commitment Records in The Netherlands during the summer of 2005. The debut EP contains 6 songs and it shows you the punk side of the band.

The Despondents

After becoming disillusioned with their hometown of Leeds and its fame-obsessed music scene (particularly following the mainstream success of fame-chasers The Kaiser Chiefs), The Despondents formed in the summer of 2006. Taking their cues from punk bands past and present their aim is to bring us short sharp garage punk tunes that hit you like an atom bomb. And boy do they deliver. Shuddering basslines, screeching guitars, insane vocals and a drummer who makes Keith Moon seem like a choirboy! Each song is filled with its own self belief and expectation.
