Kreidler was founded in 1994 by Thomas Klein, Andreas Reihse, Detlef Weinrich and Stefan Schneider. In 1994 Kreidler released the first of their now 23 outputs, the album Riva. Their music can be described as dark, aggressive and emotional soundscapes fused with classical and rock elements. The founding members were Marcy Mays (vocals and guitar), Sue Harshe (bass guitar), and Carolyn O'Leary (drums). Their first show, in the summer of 1985, was a 20-minute opening spot for the Meat Puppets. Their first album, Plus, Also, Too, was released in 1987 on the No Other record label. Drummer Carolyn O' Leary left the group in May 1992, and was replaced by Dana Marshall.
Patty Griffin, born Patricia Jean Griffin, March 16th, 1964 in Old Town, Maine, is an American folk singer. She brought out her debut album Living With Ghosts--a set of demos featuring only Ms. Griffin and her guitar--to critical acclaim in 1996. Her sophomore album, Flaming Red, demonstrated a more rocking, full-band sound. The ill-fated Silver Bell album was never released by her record label, however, and the label terminated her recording contract shortly after that. Many of the songs from Silver Bell were re-recorded for subsequent albums.
