Simon Webbe

Simon Solomon Webbe (born 30th March 1979, in Manchester, England) is a member of the English boy band Blue, and also released music as a solo artist with 'a sweet soulful sound reminiscent of The Lighthouse Family'. His first single, "Lay Your Hands", was released on 22nd August 2005, and reached #4 on the UK Singles Chart. His second, "No Worries" also reached #4 in November. Right after the release of his second single, the debut album, "Sanctuary", was released. Despite its #28 debut on the UK album charts, the album began to climb in its later weeks.

Lucida Scroll

There is no pigeon hole for Lucida Scroll. They just play original songs that are fun to play and even more fun to listen to. Covering subjects from Love, to politics, from celebrity culture to an epic 12 minute song about a mad doctor, there is something to like about Lucida Scroll, whatever your taste! Having been together since late 2010, Lucida Scroll already have a UK tour this April/May. They have spent most of the last few months holed up in the studio, writing and honing their songs, and playing a series of warm up shows.

Girl Afraid

Basically - male vocals, yay. Female vocals, nay. Enjoy :). Girl Afraid is an English rock n roll quintet from Berkshire, England. Most of the members first met while they were high school age playing in various bands, including Aussie Roadster and Naked in Black, the latter achieving local success with the debut EP “Tell Everyone What You Saw Tonight”.

There is more than one artist with the name Embrace, the first two of whom are significant:
1) a five-piece indie band from Leeds, England, who have enjoyed significant success in UK, including three number one albums and six Top 10 singles
2) a Post-Hardcore/Post-Punk band from Washington D.C. that had a galvanizing influence on the Washington, D.C. punk scene of the 80's and featured Ian MacKaye (who subsequently formed Fugazi)
3) a Dutch Trance duo
4) a Canadian Gothic Metal band

Menswear

Menswe@r were a short-lived Britpop band in the mid 1990s from Camden in London. They signed their record deal after their fifth gig, appearing on the cover of Melody Maker (in an article about Camden club night Blow Up) before they had recorded a note. They were featured in a Select article about the mod revival when the project was still purely in the imaginations of Chris Gentry and Johnny Dean. Their dress sense was Mod (tight fitting suits etc) whilst their music was influenced by both Blur's second album Modern Life Is Rubbish and Elastica.

Burlesque

Burlesque were an English pub rock band formed in London in 1972 and disbanded in 1977. The band consisted of Ian Trimmer (saxophones, lead vocals), Billy Jenkins (electric guitar, backing vocals), Steve Parr (keyboards), and Steve Hughes (electric bass guitar, backing vocals). After Burlesque disbanded, core members Billy Jenkins and Ian Trimmer went on to record and perform as Trimmer & Jenkins.
