No Island

There are two bands called No Island: The first is an independent rock band based in Vancouver, Canada; the second is hardcore band based in Glasgow, Scotland that chose the same name 2 years later. 1. Vancouver-based No Island delivers a new brand of rock that blurs the lines between genres and generations. With carefully-crafted original songs and a unique sound complimented by keyboards and saxophone, No Island’s approach to rock is catchy, powerful, and sophisticated all at once.

John Abercrombie

John Abercrombie (b. 1944) is a U.S. jazz guitarist. Abercrombie was born on 16th December 1944 in Port Chester, New York. He first came to prominence with fusion-oriented recordings in the 1970s. His first album, Timeless, with Jack DeJohnette, and Mahavishnu Orchestra's Jan Hammer was an international success. He is also known for his work with Stark Reality, Billy Cobham, Ralph Towner, and the Brecker Brothers.

Bill Frisell

Bill Frisell was born in Baltimore, but was raised in Denver, CO. Once a classical clarinetist, he established a firm base in his traditional harmonic knowledge early on in life. Throughout high school and college he also played guitar in various rock and R&B groups in the Denver area. During high school, however, he became profoundly interested in jazz guitar. In 1971 Frisell attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and also began studying with Jim Hall, one of the prominent jazz guitarists of the 1960s.

Earth, Wind & Fire is an American band, formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1969. Led by Maurice White, they are best known for their hits of the 19, among them "After the Love Has Gone", "September," "Reasons," "Fantasy" and "Shining Star." Don Airey

Don Airey (born June 21, 1948) is the keyboardist in the rock band Deep Purple from 2003, succeeding to Jon Lord. He has had a long and productive career, playing with such people and bands as Gary Moore, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull, Whitesnake, Colosseum II, Sinner, Michael Schenker, Uli Jon Roth, Rainbow, and Living Loud. Nicholas Berkeley ('Nick') Mason (born January 27, 1944 in Birmingham, England) is a musician and the drummer for Pink Floyd.. He also competed in auto racing, e.g. the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Naked City

Naked City was an music group from New York City, New York, United States led by and John Zorn, performed from 1988 to 1993. The ensemble was notable for remaining unconfined to any musical category, juxtaposing unrelated styles of music often within individual compositions at breakneck speed. Its music incorporated recognizable elements of , , , , , , and other genres. Carl Stalling has been cited as an influence on Zorn and the work of Naked City.
