anna lena arriving in Liverpool at 19 years old, leaving her hometown of Drøbak in Norway, Anna Lena has spent the last few years building her reputation as one of the most interesting singer-songwriters on the scene, with her own brand of alternative, electronic-inspired folk with a quirky Scandinavian twist. She met the orchids in september 2009 and they started to combine both parts; the ambience/experimentral sound of the orchids and the melancholy of anna lena.

goFASTER>> formed in Liverpool through the summer of 2006 to write pop songs about rubbish jobs, daytime television and STD's. Their debut single was released in June 2007; a double a-side 7" featuring 'She Starts Monday' and 'Heather's Loaded = McCartney's Blown It' on This Is Fake DIY Records. Their second single, titled 'Flammable Leisurewear' , was released February 2008 on Alcopop and featured sleeve artwork designed by Paul Rafferty of Hot Club de Paris.

Atomic Kitten

Atomic Kitten were an English girl group, first established in 1997 in Liverpool. The original line-up featured, Liz McClarnon, Kerry Katona and Heidi Range (now in the Sugababes), but Range decided to quit and was replaced by Natasha Hamilton. Jenny Frost (formerly of Precious) replaced Katona in 2001. Hamilton, McClarnon & Frost were the final and most successful line-up of the group. Atomic Kitten had three UK number one singles; Whole Again, the fourth best selling single by a girl group of all time; Eternal Flame and The Tide Is High (Get the Feeling).

Dead or Alive

Dead or Alive is an influential new wave band from Liverpool that rose to popularity during the 1980s and gained a cult following in Japan during that time. They are best known for the hit singles "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)" and "Brand New Lover". Before Pete Burns founded Dead Or Alive, he was involved with a Liverpool based band named Nightmares In Wax (no relation to Nightmares on Wax). The band centred around alternative music and released their only notable record, Black Leather in 1979 or 1980.

Dirtblonde are an exciting Liverpool band, far from the retro 60’s sound that Merseyside is known for. Instead, they seek inspiration in the darker, more exciting side of rock’n’roll – the noise of The Jesus And Mary Chain; the intensity of PJ Harvey; the fresh-faced attitude of early NYC punk and buzzsaw guitars of Sonic Youth. The Gentle Scars

The gentle scars were formed in the autumn of 2000 and quickly gained a reputation for their lively and incendiary stage performances.
They released a number of limited edition ep`s that earned some glowing reviews throughout the british north-west punk/alternative scene and gained a sizable following.
