The English Concert

The English Concert - a British baroque orchestra based in London, founded by the harpsichordist Trevor Pinnock in 1973, and since 2003 led by the baroque violinist Andrew Manze. Since September 2007 the Artistic Director is Harry Bicket. Simon Standage was the first violin from 1972-1991; followed by Peter Hanson; followed by Rachel Podger; followed by Andrew Manze, who now directs from the violin.

Fatback Band

The Fatback Band (later, simply Fatback) is an American funk and disco band. Most popular in the 1970s and 1980s, The Fatback Band is most known for their Top Ten R&B hits, "(Do The) Spanish Hustle", "I Like Girls", "Gotta Get My Hands on Some (Money)", and "Backstrokin'". Their 1979 single "King Tim III (Personality Jock)" is sometimes considered the first hip hop single.

A Silver Mt. Zion

A Silver Mt. Zion is a rock band formed in 1999, in Montreal, Canada, by Godspeed You! Black Emperor musicians Efrim Menuck, Sophie Trudeau and Thierry Amar. According to an interview with VPRO Radio in The Netherlands, originally the project was for Efrim to learn how to score music, but the idea was soon abandoned as Efrim decided that he preferred music not to be defined by rules, preferring simply what sounds best.
