Tom Jeeves (Bass / Keys / Vocals) Jake Shemmell (Guitar / Vocals) Sam Gowans (Drums / Samples) Kasakets formed in March 2009 with the aim to make sounds which excite our ears and challenge us throughout. With the motivation and inspiration from our musical peers, we adhere to fundamentals of dynamics, originality, integrity and persistence in creating sounds, albeit a little sluggish. The long-time ménage à trois and our love for music defines our longevity.

Picastro

Picastro began in Toronto in 1997 or 1998 as a acoustic guitar and cello duo. Since then there have been a long list of contributors, some of whom still appear on recordings. Kurt Newman (guitar), Stephanie Vittas (cello), catl (guitar), Evan Clarke (drums, guitar), Zak Hanna (guitar), Rachel McBride (cello), Owen Pallett (viola, organ, piano), Nick Storring (cello), Brandon Valdivia (drums), Ant Saunders (viola, guitar).

A Whisper in the Noise

A Whisper in the Noise is a musical project formed in 2002 by rock composer West Thordson. Centered in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, United States Twin Cities metro, the group is known for their dark sound and unique instrumentation, as well as their effective live performances. Eschewing the more traditional use of guitar or heavy keyboards that might be associated with the band's umbral sound, the instrumentation of A Whisper in the Noise has included the cello, violin, French horn, synth/electronic keyboard, bass guitar, and percussion in some variation.

MUTEMATH

MUTEMATH is an alternative rock band which formed in New Orleans, LA, United States in 2003. They consist of Paul Meany (vocals, keytar, keyboards, samples), Roy Mitchell-Cárdenas (bass, percussion), Darren King (drums, samples), and Todd Gummerman (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals). Since MUTEMATH released its first EP in late 2004 and hit the road in 2005, their inherent nature has challenged limitations and expanded parameters.

Joe Gideon And The Shark

Gideon plucks six strings, dreams stories and sings. Kid sister Viva, a.k.a. 'The Shark', plonks, stomps and honks. Formerly members of Bikini Atoll, they released two albums on Bella Union, second album recorded by geeky genius Steve Albini. Then, they formed a family band and spent summer 06' getting drunk in a barn writing songs on their 8 track recorder. It's been two years now and in this time they've been invited to play with great bands and musicians around europe; Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Archie Bronson Outfit, The Duke Spirit, Scout Niblett, Michael Gira to name but a few.

Crusades

There are multiple bands called Crusades:
1) two kids playing music became four kids playing music. both stages were beautiful. scattered about florida. instrumental pretty diy stuff. pretty sure they broke up at some point. two self released demos, future releases on makeshift origami. split lp with the sea, like lead in 2007. 2) Crusades is a melodic punk band from Canada, featuring current/ex-members of Year Zero, The Creeps, Sedatives, The Visitors, Zebrassieres and The Steve Adamyk Band. Brokeback

Brokeback 2011 consists of Pete Croke, Jim Elkington, Chris Hansen, and Douglas McCombs. They've spent the past winter and spring working on a new batch of songs. This fall they'll be playing the first Brokeback shows since 2008. More later... Brokeback is the name of Tortoise bassist Douglas McCombs' side project. In 1999, he released the project's first recording, Field Recordings From the Cook County Water Table, which revealed a slightly less constricted version of the post-rock sound Tortoise had made famous.

Refused

Refused is a hardcore punk band originating from Umeå, Sweden, formed in 1991. The band's final lineup comprised its founding members, vocalist Dennis Lyxzén and drummer David Sandström, as well as guitarists Kristofer Steen and Jon Brännström. Their lyrics were often of a non-conformist and politically far-left nature. The band released five EPs and three albums before initially splitting up in 1998.
