Sparta

There are at least two bands by the name of Sparta. 1. An American alternative rock band active in the 2000's
2. A British metal band active in the 1980's

Comets On Fire

Comets on Fire are a band from Santa Cruz, California. The band was formed in 1999 by guitarist and vocalist Ethan Miller and longtime friend bassist Ben Flashman, who were seeking to create rhythmically and sonically intense music that paid no attention to categorizations. The band's self-titled debut was released in 2001 and eventually issued on the Alternative Tentacles label. Recorded on a four-track, it was a garage/psych freakout of intense if not epic proportions.

Hazards of Swimming Naked

Hazards Of Swimming Naked are an instrumental group originating from Far North Queensland (Innisfail/Johnstone Shire). Their music is a reflection of their surrounding environment and isolated townships and of the imposition of society on this environment and the way people interact with it. This sound has drifted over the years from dense terrorscapes to late night grooves to dreamy, serendipitous currents and paranoid messes.

A Silver Mt. Zion

A Silver Mt. Zion is a rock band formed in 1999, in Montreal, Canada, by Godspeed You! Black Emperor musicians Efrim Menuck, Sophie Trudeau and Thierry Amar. According to an interview with VPRO Radio in The Netherlands, originally the project was for Efrim to learn how to score music, but the idea was soon abandoned as Efrim decided that he preferred music not to be defined by rules, preferring simply what sounds best.

The Morning Light

There are two bands with the name The Morning Light:
* an Italian post-punk band published on Jamendo
* and the US pop-punk described below. There are a number of ways to recognize when a band has that special something. At times it can seem nearly impossible to describe the feeling you get when a band just grabs you. It’s the feeling of popping a CD into your stereo and getting chills from the first vocal line to the last snare hit, or the feeling of not being able to look away the entire time a band graces the stage.

Palaces

There are two artists named Palaces: One plays heavy, droney, excessively loud hardcore from downstate new york. The other Palaces was founded in 2010 by drummer Mike Quigley in Sydney, Australia, following the dissolution of metal band Tourettes. The group attempts to fuse the expansive textures of bands like Isis and Mogwai with minimalistic 'choral' style vocal textures, originally inspired by Arvo Part and renaissance choral music.
