Portman

There are at least two artists named Portman: 1. Portman grew out of the ashes of pop punk band Dutch*Oven from Stamford, UK in February '04. In the two years since then playing gigs here and there up and down the county has developed the band, and with this the bands sound has grown and matured into a sort of piano driven melodic pop rock. With souring harmonies, and sprinkling tinkling guitars. Often compared to the likes of Copeland and Something Corporate.

Ikaria

“This band is an island.” Once beneath San Diego, Washington D.C., Chicago; today in the
middle of Berlin, Vallarum or Luxembourg. Ikaria, always being subjected to their own development and change, is grow to its own microcosm, full of thoughts, feelings and character. In the focus, more than ever, a very own blueprint of what some might attach to what they call “pop”, others to what they call “underground culture”. However autarkic, independent and moving in between the borders of the own universe, Ikaria

Iamthemorning

iamthemorning is a neo-classical vocal indie band from Russia. Full band consists of piano, vocals, guitar, bass-guitar, drums and string quartet and sounds like prog-rock with arrangements, influenced by Russian Classical Music heritage and various ethnic motifs. The sound may vary, as the band can play both acoustic sets (grand piano, vocals, string quartet) - and then it turns to fragile neo-classical (thought, rather gloomy) collective, and prog-rockish sets when fragility of neo-classical concept is being empowered by sophisticated rhythm section and jazzy guitar.

Rumour Cubes

Rumour Cubes are a group of 20-something Londoners with a love for all things musical. Taking influences from Explosions In The Sky, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Mogwai, among others, the group layer intricate melodies over technical drum beats and delayed guitars. Working with film makers, poets and DJs and using a joystick to control granulated found sounds, Rumour cubes focus as much on the experience as the music itself. An evening in their company will certainly be different.
