Dark Ages

There are more than one group with the name Dark Ages.
1. A dark ambient project of Roman Saenko, known better from bands such as Drudkh and Hate Forest. Athmosphere is focused mainly on the dark age of Europe, plague, and as a rule the other site of history. Band was found in 2004 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. 2. A hardcore punk band from Kansas City, MO. 3. Dark Ages is a female fronted heavy metal band from Italy. They formed in 1982 and are still active. Current line-up:

Phaedra

Phaedra may refer to a number of artists. 1) Phaedra is the musical persona of Norwegian artist and singer Ingvild Langgård, making music that blends dream folk, wooden instruments, psychedelia, medieval hymns and reversed singing, among other things. Her first album, The Sea was released by hailed independent label Rune Grammofon in january 2011 on white vinyl, cd and streaming/mp3 - a conceptual album being the first part of a forthcoming trilogy. The album tells stories of honeydewed autumns, blackwinged animals, the darkest of hours, and, well; the sea.

The Moon and the Nightspirit

Brought to life in 2003, the Hungarian entity known as The Moon and the Nightspirit has since been crafting a distinct artistic signature, reflected not only in their music but also in the unique visual universe that illustrates their work. Ágnes, a skilled singer and multi-instrumentalist, is also the talented lady responsible for the paintings which bring to The Moon and the Nightspirit’s music a fantasy-setting populated by creatures that trace back to traditional Hungarian legends and folklore.

Andrew King

Andrew King is an English folk singer, neofolk musician and traditionalist, presenting renditions of traditional songs and ballads, both a capella and with minimalist instrumentation, sometimes with an influence from post-industrial music. His initial creative work was in the visual arts. After many years of experimentation, he dates his mature work from the first of his Emblematic paintings in 1991.

Trio Mediaeval

Founded in Oslo in 1997, trio mediaeval has developed three distinct strands of repertoire: polyphonic medieval music from England and France, contemporary works and Norwegian medieval ballads and songs. The group's initial phase was inspired by intense periods of work at the Hilliard Summer Festival in England and Germany, and subsequently with Linda Hirst and John Potter. Trio mediaeval has given concerts and radio broadcasts throughout Europe, in the USA and Canada. The ensemble released its first CD on ECM Records in October 2001.

Gestalt

Gestalt was formed in 1982 in Lyon. The group draws from the musical Pantheon where Jim Morrisson and Léo Ferré, Hawkwind and Béla Bartok cross, and the most inventive formations of the moment, like Tuxedomoon or Mechanic. In this asserted eclecticism, it is especially its own way which Gestalt seeks. That of a dark energy rock'n'roll interfered research in the compositions.

Arcturus

Arcturus is an band from Oslo, Norway featuring many prominent members of the Norwegian black metal scene from bands such as Ulver, Dimmu Borgir, Mayhem, Borknagar, The Kovenant, Emperor, and Winds. Arcturus have experimented throughout their career, extracting influences and incorporating elements from all over the musical spectrum including black metal and classical music, but the core of their sound has always been metal.
