The year is 1998. Two young soldiers who we now know as Mr Prince and Navigator are in a crew called Set Apart. Slowly building momentum as one of West London only gospel rap crews they begin to hit shows all over England completing missions and preaching the gospel. Having met with another soldier known as Yinka, Set Apart begins to hit the urban terrain in regular frontline evangelism missions. An alliance is formed with Yinka and Set Apart move forward with a vision to expand and develop a bigger crew that will take the hip-hop world by storm.

The two young and ambitious artists Tobias Rieser and Adrian Held from Salzburg in Austria, achieved to bring sunshine within a short time to numerous people around the globe with their unique compositions. The single “Sonnentanz” reached over 15 million plays on YouTube and SoundCloud after one month only gaining them several thousand fans. This success story goes on and the appeals for the upcoming mindblowing release are getting louder every day.

Thundercat is a pseudonym of Stephen Bruner, a member of legendary thrash punks Suicidal Tendencies (since 16 years of age), a protégé of Steven Ellison (aka Flying Lotus), virtuoso bassist, composer, producer and singer. Bruner has collaborated with many, including: a stint with German boy band No Curfew, jams with Snoop Dogg and Stanley Clarke. “I do believe that hip-hop can be the new jazz, and I’m helping create that”, Bruner said in an interview to Bass Player, in 2008.

Jan Jelinek (whose monikers include Gramm, for Source Records, and Farben), is a Berlin-based producer of electronic music drawing influences from jazz, dub, funk, soul, and house. Prior to releasing on the ~Scape label under his own name, he had put out albums as Farben (for Klang Elektronik). On 2001's Loop-Finding-Jazz-Records, Jelinek manipulates fragments of sound from old jazz recordings, transforming them beyond recognition into completely new pieces of music. On la nouvelle pauvrete, he joins forces with the imaginary band The Exposures, which he himself fabricated.
