Skyforger is a folk metal band from R?ga, Latvia. They have been tempering their music in the smithy of the Thundergod since 1995. Primordial is an Irish band founded in the late 1980's. They play a unique style of heavy metal, which can best be described as a blend of black and folk metal with strong influences from their Irish roots. Their music and lyrics deal with cultural heritage, struggle, melancholy and anger. Primordial started out as a black metal band with some folk influences with their 1993 demo Dark Romanticism and 1995 debut album Imrama.

Be'lakor

A dark, melodic death metal band from Melbourne, Be'lakor has quickly come to be regarded as one of Australia's most promising and creative metal acts. The band's international reputation has grown rapidly since the release of their 2007 debut, "The Frail Tide," its 2009 follow-up, "Stone's Reach," and most recently, the band's third album, "Of Breath and Bone." 2012 will see Be'lakor return to Europe to play at Germany's Summer Breeze Festival and the Czech Republic's Brutal Assault Festival.

Morgawr

Formed in late 2007 by Alexander Wyld and Sebb Garner, their aim: to create original sounding 'pagan' metal. Under the name of Aesir, the band played gigs throughout England and Cornwall, and even recorded a bathory cover for a belgium bathory tribute CD. But after several necessary lineup changes, a new musical direction was sought, and so the band decided to make a fresh start; Morgawr was born. The Cornish word for sea serpent; Morgawr The new aim; to delve deep into Cornish and Celtic mythology and to fuse it with black, folk, power and progressive metal.

This epic metal band was formed in the early 90's by the sole two members still making up Ereb Altor. Growing up having Bathory's epic era in our hearts it was inevitable that the music we created somehow was going to be influenced by our house gods. Having Bathory's music as a foundation we created our own branch of this so called "epic viking metal" genre. Lyric-wise the topics differed slightly.

Skyclad

Skyclad is a British heavy metal band with strong folk influences in their music. They were formed by former Sabbat vocalist Martin Walkyier, and Satan / Blind Fury / Pariah guitarist Steve Ramsey in 1990 to represent the "ultimate pagan metal band". From the start, they have incorporated a diverse range of influences from British folk music to German thrash metal which has fed their constantly evolving sound. They are widely considered the inventors of folk metal.
