Thomas Busby decided to test his office-worker-by-day/rockstar-by-night formula when he discovered the multi-skilled musician, Jeremy Marou strumming his ukele in a lush forest near the banks of the Fitzroy River, Rockhampton (beef capital of the world!)… Busby Marou was born! Regardless of whether this is an accurate portrayal of events, does not matter…Busby Marou are quickly making an impact on the Australian music scene. Seagull refers to two different bands, one based in the UK, the other in Melbourne, Australia. They are listed below in chronological order.
1. Seagull was formed in Manchester in 1999. It was the brainchild of two former members of the Finley Quaye band, Tom Greenwood and Jo Michell. Other members have included bassist Txarli Robles and drummer Bill Henry. The Seagull song Waiting For You was covered by Finley Quaye and appeared on his album Much More Than Much Love.

Lacey formed in 2007 in Perth, Western Australia. In April of 2009 they released their first CD - a double A-side single - Hard to Tell/Whip. Both tracks quickly reached the top 30 of the triple J unearthed charts and remained up there for a number of weeks peaking at 2 and 4 on the indie charts. Lacey have their second release Distractions Single at Amplifier bar, 29th January, 2010, and are hopeful of their third release coming out around August 2010.
