Cassette Culture is the side project of Tom Lowe, who is the guitarist of the Leicestershire based band, Kyte. The project started in 2009 when some of the Kyte songs started to venture closer towards a more electronic sound. At first Tom simply worked on a remixing tracks from various bands he and the other Kyte members had been in contact with, but later Mark Adams was added as a vocalist, and with Scott Hislop on drums they began recording their first album.

Their crisp vocalizing and clean-cut, young-men-next-door image made them favorites on TV shows starring Johnny Carson, Mike Douglas, and Dick Clark's American Bandstand. In 1974, Tavares also had the first hit version (number one R&B) of "She's Gone" written by the then relative unknown duo of Daryl Hall and John Oates.
Rose Royce — the Los Angeles-based group comprised of Henry Garner (drums), Terral "Terry" Santiel (congas), Lequeint "Duke" Jobe (bass), Michael Moore (saxophone), Rose Norwalt (lead vocals), Kenny Copeland (trumpet, lead vocals), Kenji Brown (guitar, lead vocals), Freddie Dunn (trumpet), and Michael Nash (keyboards) — was actually formed by Copeland and Garner. Fluke are an electronic band formed in 1988 at Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, UK, by Mike Bryant, Jon Fugler and Mike Tournier. The group are noted for their diverse range of electronic styles spanning the house, techno, ambient and blues genres. Fluke started out making dreamy pop before the explosion of acid house influenced them. It was the growing electronica sound that influenced their early singles (Thumper, Joni, Slid) and their techno-rock debut album The Techno Rose of Blighty (1991). In the same year they released a live album entitled Out (In Essence).
Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! are a indie rock group from Adelaide, South Australia. They feature David Williams (vocals/guitar), Sam Stearne (drums), Caitlin Duff (vocals), Nathaniel Morse (guitar), Art Zinoviev (synth) and Josh Flavel (bass). Formed in 2006 into the vapid whirlpool era of fluro dance-punk, the quintet has since been impossible to pin down to any one sound or genre, opting for distinct stylistic strides between releases.
