Mary and The Baby Cheeses
An experimental collective originally from Tel Aviv.
fronted by Mariya Ocher (aka Mary Ocher http://www.last.fm/music/Mary+Ocher), currently based in Berlin. The first line-up of the band (Tel-Aviv, Dec2006-dec2007; Ocher with Gil Cohen, Ran Nahmias and Karen Phenpimon-Zehavi) was influenced primarily by folk, early industrial and post-punk acts like The Birthday Party and Einstürzende Neubauten with a hint of avant garde/noise generated by a heater and other uncommon uses of objects as percussions.
