Toronto's Dubmatix has become one of Canada's premiere dub, reggae & electro artists having spent months on top of the Canadian & International charts, touring domestically & internationally (3 months touring Europe & Canada in 2007) , collaborating with legendary reggae heavy weights (Sugar Minott, Michael Rose, Alton Ellis, Pinchers and more) and a sought after producer/remixer working with artists across the globe (Scotland, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, France, Germany, Canada) such as 2008 Juno-Nominee Tanya Mullings.

High Tone

High Tone was formed in the year 1997 in the city of Lyon, France. The idea and leitmotiv of the musicians were to mix the traditional dub music with their others musical influences such as drum'n'bass, hip-hop or oriental music. They also mixed up the instruments: using turntables and samples as well as the more traditional guitar, drums and bass-guitar. After a few self produced vinyl EPs -Bot Bud Seasons (1997) and Low Tone (1998)- High Tone signed at the label Jarring Effects.

Iota

There is more than one artist with this name:
1) iOTA is an Australian musician making his name not only in music, but on stage. He arrived on the music scene in 1999 with his debut album "The Hip Bone Connection". Since then he has had two ARIA Award nominations and gone on to release three more albums and a renowned EP "Little Carlos". In 2006 iOTA took to the stage as Hedwig Robinson, the lead of the cult musical Hedwig & the Angry Inch.

His compositions are based on a strong bass & drums section. Though the reggae riddim often be heard, it sounds of today: tempos are particulary high for this kind of music, and the heavy bass line combines with a dynamic drum style and electro soundz. His first album "Don't stop dub" was released on Hammerbass Records in March 2005. Acclaimed by all the actors of the international dub scene and played by respected sound systems, this album gave him the opportunity to make himself known to worldwide dub addicts.
