Kasey Chambers, born June 4, 1976 in Mount Gambier, Australia is Australia's most popular country music performer with three successive albums reaching #1 on the Australian album charts in 2002, 2004 and 2006, each achieving multi-platinum sales. Kasey's signature tune "Not Pretty Enough" hit #1 on the ARIA singles charts in 2002, where it remained at the top spot for 4 weeks.

Miranda Lambert is a country singer-songwriter who gained fame as a finalist on the 2003 season of USA Network's talent competition Nashville Star. Biography Miranda Lambert was born on November 10, 1983 in Lindale, Texas, about 80 miles east of Dallas. Both of her parents are private investigators, but father Rick is also a country guitarist and songwriter. Lambert became seriously interested in country music after attending a Garth Brooks concert as a young girl, and soon began singing in talent contests under the tutelage of her father.

Plainsong was formed by Ian Matthews (previously in Fairport Convention) in 1972 with Andy Roberts, Bob Ronga, and Dave Richards. In Search of Amelia Earhart was released the same year with relatively poor sales. However the critical response was largley positive. Their follow-up, Plainsong III was more country orientated. During its production, Ronga quit and Matthews and Richards were unable to agree on future direction. They disbanded before the album's completion. There are three bands calling themselves The Beards - one from Adelaide, Australia, another from Norway, and the third a U.S. sideproject of several female musicians. 1) Beard based band from Adelaide Australia The Beards play "Bearded Music for Bearded People" and are the only band in the world playing solely beard based music. They have been officially invited to play the opening ceremony of the 2009 World Beard and Moustache Championships in Alaska.
