Bad Boat

Northern Irish band Bad Boat has been playing their wreck of rock to appreciative audiences and putting out well-received original recordings since 2003. In their music, people say they have heard bands like Mastodon, Clutch, Melvins, Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Cathedral, MC5, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. There are indeed a variety of styles celebrated in each song and a prevailing positivity in the progressive aspect of their growing soundscape. There are some straightforward rock anthems in a classic heavy 70’s sound with an underlying punk and metal edge.

After releasing his solo debut in 2009, Wino went acoustic in early 2011 with Adrift, a gut-wrenchingly personal album written by a man who has survived a lifetime of gut-wrenching scenarios and lived to tell the tales.
Wino’s latest project sees him plugged back in—both to his amplifier and the full-band format.

Walls

There are two bands with the name Walls: 1.) Featuring 3/4 of the final Cold Sweat lineup (and for that matter, one-half of Iron Lung), as well as the vocalist from Negative Step and Society Of Friends, Walls' self-titled LP serves as an expansion of their self-released 7" issued earlier this year. Indeed it is filled with a wider array of lurching rhythms, atonal riffs, and angry, stream-of-consciousness vocals, that, in the parlance of our times, "pick up where they left off".

Harvey Milk

Harvey Milk are an American experimental rock / noise rock band that formed in Athens, Georgia, United States in the early 1990s. Despite playing numerous live shows and releasing a slew of 7" singles and three full length albums, they never received much attention outside of their local fanbase. Even when they were together, Harvey Milk releases were notoriously hard to find. It was not until years after the band's demise that their singles, as well as all three full length albums, saw re-release through various labels, most notably Relapse Records.
