AM

AM is an indie rock band formed in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles, California . The band was founded by AM (vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar), and consists of Michael Sawtizke (electric guitar), Mark Getten (bass), Jesse Nason and Brett Bixby (piano, organ, synths), Chris Lovejoy (percussion) and Derek Brown (drums- The Eels/ Everest). AM was handpicked by the band Air to open their US and Canadian 2010 tour. New AM album "Future Sons & Daughters" produced by Charles Newman (who simultaneously produced AM's record and The Magnetic Fields' new album.)

Heath!

HEATH! is David Rhee and Stephen Heath, and they are an amplified acoustic guitar and drums duo from Echo Park, California.They met in Los Angeles working at the same restaurant, and it was over their mutual dislike of bussing tables that they formed a band. But I digress. HEATH!'s live performance is pure, electrifying, and akin to a stand-up comedian who cracks us up spontaneously, then breaks into an infectious display of honest and soulful songwriting about his long gone dog or the near impossibility of communicating with our families.

Julia Holter

Julia Shammas Holter is a classically-trained keytarist from Echo Park. After infiltrating Human Ear Music headquarters dressed as an intern, she wrote and recorded her own release on the label. Her music is witty, surreal and optimistic. She plays without sarcasm in the terrains that divide sentimentality, passion, and control. Her songs are written instinctively, and treated with an off-kilter fastidiousness, working orchestral variety from minimal instrumentation.
