Absynthe Minded

The Belgian alternative rock outfit Absynthe Minded is heavily influenced by thirties jazz, soul, Merseyside pop, balkan and gypsy music. Absynthe Minded originally formed in 1999 as a one man band. Singer/guitarist Bert Ostyn recorded the first demos solo in his bedroom in Ghent. In 2002 Ostyn recruited Renaud Ghilbert (violin, trumpet, percussion), Sergej Van Bouwel (bass, contrabass) and Jan Duthoy (Hammond, piano) to form the Absynthe Minded Quartet, shortly Absynthe Minded. The History makes Science Fiction EP (2003) was their first release on the independent Keremos label.

Since he started in 1993 as a DJ in the 'At The Villa' (a legendary club dating from the time of the start of the house scene in Belgium), DJ Vince has always been an innovator, both at the level of music programme planning and the generating of ideas for the profession which is a profession in its own right.
However, Belgium is probably the country he prefers and where he has been directing each Friday evening for more than 6 years in L'H20.

Angeli Di Pietra

belgian band that makes folk metal and handed out free demo's at paganfest, thank you for the demo's ^^ What do you get when you mix metal with the terms “power” and “folk”?
Angeli di Pietra, of course!
This Antwerp-based band came to life in 2002 and after a rocky start found the members to complete their goal of world domination. Even though their first demo-offering, “Songs of Solace” (2004) didn't match up to the band's expectations, it provided the learning process needed to really kick some ass by improving the songs.

The Subs

Rambunctious. That's the least you can say about Belgian beatbastards The Subs. Having already released a couple of underground dance maxis - 'You Make Me Spill', 'Fuck That Shit', 'Substracktion' - over the past years, they hit it hard in 2008, with 'Kiss My Trance', a punktrance-juggernaut of a hitsingle. The track started off as a joke, the band wanted to see how far they could push the limits of the trance-genre and get away with it.
