Agathocles

Agathocles is a legendary grindcore band from Belgium, who describe their music as "". The band started in 1985, and has gone through many line-up changes - with Jan Frederickx being the only original member - but is still going strong today. Agathocles have gained an underground cult following through their frequent releases - which mostly include countless 7" EPs, Split 7" EPs, full-length CDs / LPs, and compilations - adding up throughout the years to become one of the largest discographies of any grindcore band.

NOBLESSE

Noblesse is a three-piece alternative rock band based in The Hague.
The band recently completed their sophomore album We Are Not Humanity, produced by the American producer Gordon Raphael who has previously produced the first two albums of The Strokes, as well as albums for Regina Spektor, Skin and Beatsteaks. The album was released on the 12th of March, 2010, with a special release performance in the Melkweg (The Max) in Amsterdam.

Monza

Monza is a Belgian rock band, founded by Stijn Meuris, originally a member of Noordkaap. When Noordkaap stopped making music, Meuris formed 'Monza'.
Monza released 'Van God Los' in 2001. The singles 'Van God Los', 'De Stad Kan Zo Koud Zijn' and 'De Ogen Van Jenny' were big hits in Belgium.
They released 'Grand' in 2005. It's a very emotional record because Stijn Meuris's girlfriend committed suicide. The singles 'Dood Aan Alle Meisjes' and 'Rijkdom' got a considerable amount of airplay on radio stations.

A Split Second is a Belgian electronic and industrial band.
A Split Second is simply too good to be ignored, and from their conception in 1985 it didn't take the world long to acknowledge the importance of Marc ICKX's and Chrismar CHAYELL's unique musical vision. Official website A Split Second's first American release, the 1987 EP A Split Second, collected highlights from their early European releases, which included Ballistic Statues (which featured the tense masterpiece "Close Combat"), Smell of Buddah as well as their innovative EBM classic, "Flesh".

Belgian Songsmith Fred Lyenn Jacques - who performs as LYENN - purveys spare refined art pop tunes with a powerful aura of mystery and menace. (Time out New York, sept 2009) Lyenn's debut album The Jollity of My Boon Companion was recorded in New York and features some of New York's greatest musicians, such as Marc Ribot (Tom Waits, John Zorn, Elvis Costello, ...), Shahzad Ismaily (Bonnie "Prince" Billie, Sean Lennon/Yoko Ono...), Ches Smith (Secret Chiefs3, Ceramic Dog), Indigo Street, Sam Amidon (Valgeir Sigurdsson), Joel Hamilton, Jolie Holland and Doug Wieselman (Antony and the Johnsons).

The Bony King of Nowhere

The Bony King of Nowhere is the project of 24-year-old composer Bram Vanparys from Ghent in Belgium. His honest music, characterized above all by Bram’s distinctive voice, claims your heart straight away. Songs are built on melodic backing vocals, guitars and sound layers, as well as the frequent use of unconventional percussion inspired by the Brazilian Tropicália Movement from the 1960s. His lyrics are often theatrical: the virgin Mary addressed by a dying man exalting death from his deathbed (“Maria”)...

The hickey underworld

A Belgian rockband, consisting of members Younes Faltakh, Jonas Govaerts, Georgios Tsakiridis and Jimmy Wouters. They won Humo's Rock Rally in 2006, the most important Belgian rock contest, which has already brought forth bands like dEUS, Das Pop, Goose, Admiral Freebee, Mint, and many others. Their self titled debut album was released in March 2009, and was produced by Das Pop. It's being described (in Humo) as 'hard, melodic, danceable and devilish'.
