Soul Train

Straight outta Massachusetts comes Soul Train.
The name of the band sounds a little bit hippie but don't let this put you off cause the music itself is really good. The music maintains a solid vibe and the rap layered vocals that appear from time to time are tight.
-Old School Hate Webzine
As of the right now the band is currently a four-piece.
Trey - Vocals
Dremus - Guitar
Keith - Bass
Jon - Drums With a 5 song demo and a new 2K10 EP
things are still looking good for the band Official Myspace

Johnny Robinson

Not much info’s can be found for Johnny Robinson, who begun his career with a superb deep soul ballad “it’s all over” which seems to have been his first 45. He was born in Tuskagee, Alabama in 1939 and had the normal gospel training before joining the secular world with this disc in 1966/7. No real info on the location of the recording, but Benny Hall’s name on the writing credits would suggest the Big Apple, but what a magnificent display of dramatic emotion Robinson puts on.

One very important fact about Alan Merrill: He was the lead singer and songwriter of the first and original 1975 version of "I Love Rock N Roll" with his band, The Arrows. The song has become an enduring international rock anthem, recorded by Joan Jett, Britney Spears, and many others. Joan Jett saw Merrill perform the song on a British television pop show in '76, while on tour with her band, The Runaways, and she was deeply inspired. Her 1982 version of the song was #1 for 8 weeks in the USA.
