The Beat Assassins are Jimmy Mofo and DJ Wooz, breakbeat producers based in the UK. The event that inspired the formation of the Beat Assassins happened when DJ Wooz walked up to Jimmy Mofo and said, "I wanna make breakbeat like this!". He was referring to Moguais U Know Y which had just sent everyone spastic one drunken Friday night out in Camden. A few phone calls later and Jimmy was sat next to Wooz in his Harpenden recording studio making phat beats that delivered a tech-funk dynamic in energetic, peak-time breakbeat production.
