Comprised of musicians from London, Bergen and Paris, the quintet are armed with a manifesto to spread their brand of indie-electro across the globe. Formed via a chance meeting between childhood friends Jon Beck (vocals) and Dave Fawbert (guitar/synths/programming), and Norwegian siren Sofie Storaas (vocals) in Bergen, Norway a year ago, they bonded over a shared love of classic and contemporary electro, pop and indie, and Russian vodka.

So

There is more than one band with So as their name: 1) So began in 2002 with the pair of Eri and Markus Popp (Oval, Microstoria). So is a true symmetrical duo as both members equally contribute to the songwriting and processing. An absolute departure from Oval, So’s debut CD is a melodic, at times soothing, technological demonstration. The album was initially begun as a reworking of a song cycle from Eri’s archives.

The Union Station Massacre

Nottingham post/math/rock/electronica band formed in 2004. Likened to godspeed you black emperor!, MONO and radiohead, USM have shared a stage with Forward Russia, Arcs, Double Handsome Dragons and G-Plan among other. Lipsis

Obscure electronica outfit Lipsis are in love with their theremin, addicted to their knob twiddling and thoroughly disparaging of the whole 4/4 party banger thing. Their music is a collage of noise. You have to be very good to get away with this kind of adherence to non form, but the myspace tracks are first rate, like, really good.

DJ Bruno

DJ Bruno (Perfect Groove Foundation/ Electrica/ UA) It all started back to 1990 from the tape with new kind of music Acid House. This made Alec to get deeper in the music and to start the mixing. First experiments took place in the private home parties and in the institute where Alec got his education. At that time there was no turntables in Saint Petersburg so all the mixing have been done on the tape recorders.
