Black Rain

For French glam/hard-rock band, see Blackrain. There are at least eight bands with the name Black Rain:

1) Black Rain, the NYC post punk / industrial group began in '89 with Stuart Argabright, Bones, Shin Shimokawa , Thom Furtado and Dave Vulcan, emerging out of the ruins of seminal post-punk outfit Ike Yard. After playing CBGB's, The Bank, Tompkins Square Park show commemorating the Riots there and the last GG Allin show at the Gas Station on LES ( Lungcast cassette ), this phase of the group went on to work in the Studio with Roy Mayorga (Thorn / StoneSour ) on drums and guitar riffage.

Blue Rose Code

Hailing from Scotland but currently based in East London, Blue Rose Code is an alt-folk group whose influences are as hard to pin down as their fluid arrangements. Of their debut release on Natural Studio Records, Ross Wilson (BRC's singer says): “Rawlnish is the name of my family’s house on the Isle of Lewis. In Gaelic it literally means: the point at the end of the land. The house has been standing for over 200 years and is my favourite place. Legend has it that it’s the last inhabited house before Canada on the island and at the right time of year you can see the northern lights.

raf and o

Raf and O are a 3 piece female fronted band delivering an enchanting mixture of songs and glitchtronica - "a cyber cabaret at the edge of the galaxy". With a rich underground pedigree, Raf and O have been described as “Indietronic delicacy” by Mixmag following their debut Ep in 2008 "Has the air gone walking?". Nolige

Shaun Bateman aka Nolige. Hailing from Wolverhampton has been listening to Drum & Bass/Jungle since 1991. It was from going round his cousins every Sunday, where he first heard Drum & Bass. From there on he knew he wanted to be a part of it one day. After some years of listening to tape packs, he then decided in 1998 to take things a little more serious, and started buying vinyl. Shortly after, he then decided to buy a pair of decks.

Robin S. (born Robin Stone on April 27, 1962) is a singer-songwriter from Queens, New York, United States who scored success in the 1990s with such hit singles as "Show Me Love" (which was her debut single and a #1 Club hit) and "Luv 4 Luv." A house diva whose productions use live instrumentation just as much as electronics, Robin S. debuted with the Top Ten hit "Show Me Love." The Queens, NY native was signed by Big Beat Records in 1993, and debuted with the hot single, which climbed the charts during 1994, and spurred her first album, also titled Show Me Love.

Bomb the Bass

Bomb The Bass (formed 1987, in London, England) is the umbrella title for the output of British musician and DJ, Tim Simenon. The band, which has evolved its style over the years, has been classed as or . Bomb the Bass was the creation of the British musician Tim Simenon. His first single "Beat Dis" from the album "Into The Dragon" was a number two hit in the and was one of the first songs to introduce the mainstream to sampling culture (along with songs by Paul Hardcastle, M/A/R/R/S and S'Express).

The Fleshtones

Often tagged as garage-rock revivalists, the Fleshtones mix the fuzz-guitar and Farfisa organ sounds of that genre with rockabilly, '50s and '60s R&B, and surf into a potent retro stew the group likes to call "Super Rock." The group formed in 1976 in Queens with vocalist/keyboardist Peter Zaremba, guitarist Keith Streng, bassist Jan Marek Pukulski, and drummer Bill Milhizer and aimed to return rock and roll to the simplicity and unself-consciousness of the '50s and early-'60s. (The group was often joined on-stage and in the studio by sax player Gordon Spaeth, who passed on in 2005.
