THE TUXEDO JAZZ ORCHESTRA is a stunning 10 piece orchestra comprising some of the UK’s brightest and most accomplished musicians.
Specialising in the hot and sweet music of the 1920s and 1930s, the Orchestra celebrates the best of the British and American dance bands of the era – plus one or two surprises. Directed by vocalist Tony Jacobs, the show is packed with great songs and tunes – authentically and lovingly recreated, and is highly informative and very witty.
The show is also graced by the lovely Catherine Sykes – described as ‘having a voice to die for!’ Personnel includes saxophones: James Evans – one of the brightest young stars on the UK jazz scene, Sue Greenway (The TJO's co-founder and leader) from the Syd Lawrence Orchestra and RAF Squadronnaires, Mick Foster who has worked with the London Jazz Orchestra, Digby Fairweather and Jacqui Dankworth.
