Spare formed in 2001 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Ireland. With brothers Alan (vocals, guitar) and Peter Grouse (drums) joined by Barry Gleeson (guitar) and Don Flannery (bass), they make up a very dedicated, innovative thrash metal band who have built up quite a fan base across Ireland. Heavily influenced by the big names of 80s thrash; Slayer, Metallica, Sepultura and others, the band strives to make a difference in the relatively small Irish metal scene.
