Deserters is the country-rock band of Luke Thomas (The Pictures), along with a rotating cast of musicians including Johnny T (ex-Pictures), Nathan Thomas (Lavish) and Mal Pinkerton (The Anyones). As of 2009, the band includes long time bassist Xain Milke, drummer Zac Anthony (frontman of The Wellingtons) and guitarist Nick Fraser. Deserters have released a self titled EP, a mini-album (Distant Tales) and are currently recording their first album, to be titled "Pale Morning".
