Crewe, United Kingdom (2007 – present) Junker is an alternative metal group that formed in Crewe, United Kingdom in 2007. Their music combines elements of heavy metal, hardcore punk, progressive rock, funk, soul and indie. Their sound is influenced by Tool, Helmet, Foo Fighters, Suicidal Tendencies and Smashing Pumpkins amongst many others. Originally called Dead.Com, Junker was formed by Gavin “Gash” Ashley in 2006 out of the ashes of Emotional Baggage and Def Penalty with Dave ”Shammy” Hole (ex Emotional Baggage) and Ed” FEF” Ward (ex Def Penalty).
