London based composer, recording artist and occasional lyricist/vocalist, Jack Shirt has self-released two CDR albums on his DIY label Scratch My Back Records, Jack Shirt debut in January 2008 and Silent Beef in January 2009. His influences range from Gyorgy Ligeti’s discordant vocal inflections and compositions, to the obscure tempo manoeuvres of Beefheart’s Trout Mask Replica and The Shaggs’ Philosophy of the World, from the nonchalant songwriting of post Pink Floyd Syd Barrett...
